The proposed itinerary coincides with the Long-Distance Trail 92 "Mediterranean Trail", which starts from the fishing port of l'Ametlla de Mar and heads towards la Ampolla, passing through some of the best-preserved stretches of the Catalan coast.
Along the route, we can visit remains of ancient watchtowers, trenches, and batteries that recall less peaceful times. Throughout the journey, visitors can enjoy nature and the unique features of this coastal stretch.
After, get ready to experience 2 hours of unforgettable adventures with TunaTour: you'll board our catamaran and we'll take you 5 km off the coast to dive and swim among hundreds of red tuna measuring over 2 meters. Incredible... isn't it?
Two-meter tunas? Don't worry, Tuna Tour is an experience as safe as it is exciting. That's why it's designed to be enjoyed with the whole family, from the youngest to the oldest and most adventurous. You'll always be accompanied by our specialized team who will ensure your experience is unforgettable. Plus, our facilities are fully accessible so you can enter and exit comfortably and safely.
During the 20-minute journey, we'll discover some aspects of this special tuna such as its biology, physiology, and curiosities. We'll learn about the capture, care, and commercialization process of the red tuna until it reaches the world's best restaurants. And how sustainability is present in every part of the process, ensuring quality and respect for nature and the species.
Once we reach the pools, we'll enjoy the first direct contact with the tunas. Tunas have highly sensitive capabilities, so upon arrival, they will likely be eagerly awaiting to see who has come to visit them. Now it's time to get into the water and enjoy the adventure. Remember to bring your own mask! If you don't have one, don't worry! You can purchase one at our port office and on the catamaran.
On the return journey, we'll enjoy a tasting of Balfegó Red Tuna sashimi along with a drink. You'll also be able to watch the images and videos of the adventure you just experienced, which you can take home for an unforgettable memory.
