Come and discover the Garrotxa volcanoes. A hot air balloon flight will allow you to enjoy the magnificent Catalan landscape in a calm peaceful way.
As the wind transports you on your airbone adventure, you'll be able to spot the region's volcanoes - there are more than 40 of them - while you sip a glass of cava, 2.000 metres above the ground. After the flight, it'll be time to enjoy the local cuisine with a hearty breakfast.
Program
You'll be able to enjoy an early morning balloon flight over the volcanoes in the Garrotxa, as you soar above the natural park in the volcanic zone. Flights depart between 6.30 and 8.30am, depending on the time of the year.
When you arrive at our base in Vol de Coloms, we'll invite you for coffee and pastries while you watch us prepare the balloons.
All our baskets have doors, making them accessible to everyone. The wind will determine our direction of travel, and the flights usually lasts between one to one and a half hours.
During the journey, we'll raise a toast with a glass of rosé cava and taste the local flatbread coca de llardons, a speciality from Olot. You'll enjoy a bird's-eye view, with the Pyrenees in the background and the volcanoes beneath your feet.
Depending on the weather conditions, you might not have much time to spot the Garrotxa volcanoes from the balloon, so you'll need to be quick to find them with the clues we provide.
Once we've landed, our ground team will pick you up in a 4x4 and we'll head out for a hearty breakfast of pa amb tomàquet (bread rubbed with tomato), cured cold meats, white haricot beans (fesols de Santa Pau) with sausage, drinks and desserts from the Fageda Cooperative, coffees, and a tasting of the local liqueur ratafia.
At the end of the adventure, you'll receive a flight certificate signed by the pilot.
