Program
Departing from the meeting point, we will head towards two of Catalonia's most important wineries, where we will have the opportunity to discover the wine production process, its history, and enjoy a tasting.
Did you know that Catalonia is one of the most important wine regions in Spain? It currently has eleven designations of origin. The vine has existed in Catalonia for over 2,000 years, and currently, more than 380 million bottles are produced annually, including sparkling wine, which represents half of the production.
Our first stop will be at one of the most unique and attractive wineries in Europe. Here, we will have the opportunity to understand how the winery has been built into a cave completely invisible from the outside. We will learn how the winery has been designed at different levels to facilitate gravity vinification. We will enjoy a pairing of three wines accompanied by local cold cuts.
After the visit, we will head towards one of Catalonia's most prestigious wineries: Llopart, a centuries-old winery where we will discover sparkling wine, designated as Corpinnat. We will take a journey through the winery's history, from its origins to the present day, where we will learn about the vineyards, from where we will have breathtaking views of Montserrat. We will have the opportunity to delve into the facilities where they produce wines and sparkling wines, ending with a tasting of some of their best sparkling wines accompanied by delicious traditional cold cuts.
As a souvenir, you will receive a bottle of one of Llopart's best wines, Enigma 3. With a fun test, you can guess the grape variety, the type of production they have followed, and the aging of this type of wine. At the end of it all, you will be able to discover exactly what wine you have in your hands.
Once we have finished the visit at the Llopart wineries, we will board the bus again to return to Barcelona. We will end at the same place where we started the visit, at Estació del Nord.
